In this update, the focus is on improving efficiency in production order management. One standout feature is the ability to manually deallocate materials for production orders with the ‘Completed’ status, giving production managers more flexibility and control.
Additionally, the enhanced review of MRP history through new inquiry forms provides valuable insights for planning managers, allowing them to analyse past runs and optimise future production processes.
The introduction of a new workflow support system and side panel features further streamline the production order process, making it easier for users to navigate and manage their tasks. With the creation of labour transactions now more accessible on the Production Order Maintenance form, MYOB Advanced continues to prioritise user-friendly functionalities to enhance overall user experience.
Deallocation of Unused Materials for Production Orders
MYOB Advanced 2023.1 introduces the ability to manually deallocate materials for production orders with the ‘Completed’ status. Also, suppose a production manager realises they need to issue more materials after completing the production order. The manager can reopen the order and allocate the necessary materials.
Enhanced Review of MRP History
MYOB Advanced 2023.1 has implemented two new inquiry forms for the planning manager, MRP History (AM000016) and MRP Audit History (AM000017), to view the history and details of previous MRP runs.
This comparison may help the planning manager discover if the increase in the number of records caused the increase in the time of MRP generation.
On the MRP Audit History form, the planning manager can view details for all MRP runs. Managers can specify a date range to view messages created within this range.
New Workflow Support on the Production Order Maintenance and Production Order Details Forms
In MYOB Advanced 2023.1, the processing of production orders has been redesigned to use the improved workflow engine, which replaces the legacy workflow engine. The ‘Hold’ checkbox has been replaced with the new workflow actions.
Side Panel Support for Specific Forms
In MYOB Advanced 2023.1, a side panel has been added to multiple forms, including:

Creation of Labour Transactions on the Production Order Maintenance Form
In MYOB Advanced 2023.1, a new action for creating labour transactions has been added to the More menu on the Production Order Maintenance (AM201500) form. Previously, users had to manually open the Labour (AM301000) form and enter the data.
