In May 2025, we held a user group meeting for MYOB Acumatica, where we shared valuable insights, updates, and exciting product demonstrations. We appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and contribute to the discussions. In this blog post, we’ll recap the key highlights from the meeting, including updates from MYOB and Avanza Solutions, as well as a sneak peek into the upcoming features in the next release.

Meeting Highlights

We kicked off the meeting by welcoming attendees and outlining the agenda, which included updates on MYOB’s AI strategy, product demonstrations, and a Q&A session. The meeting was designed to provide valuable insights into the latest developments and features that will enhance user experience. One of the standout moments was the announcement of MYOB being voted the number one ERP solution in Australia and New Zealand for mid-market businesses. This recognition reflects the depth of MYOB’s product offerings, including MYOB Acumatica, MYOB Greentree, and Exo, as well as the rapid growth in MYOB’s customer base.

AI Integration in Acumatica

A significant focus of the meeting was on the integration of AI features in Acumatica. Penny highlighted three main AI experiences that will be included in the upcoming releases:

  • AI Automation: This feature allows users to describe the actions they want within the application, enabling the system to set up those actions with minimal coding.
  • AI Advisor: This tool provides contextual input to help users make better decisions by leveraging anomaly detection to identify significant expenses.
  • AI Assistant: Designed to improve user productivity, this feature allows users to request information from Acumatica and interact with the application using natural language for deeper insights.

These AI capabilities are set to enhance productivity and efficiency for users, making the future of MYOB Acumatica very promising.

Product Demonstrations

Our team showcased several product demonstrations that highlighted advanced tips and tricks within MYOB Acumatica. These demonstrations included:

  • Generic Inquiries: We demonstrated how users can edit generic inquiries to include additional information, such as supplier inventory IDs, enhancing the data visibility within the system. (00:07:02 Generic Inquiries and OData)
  • Business Events: A demonstration on setting up business events to trigger notifications, such as emails, when specific actions occur within the system, was also presented. (00:13:35 Business Events)
  • Report Customisation and Import Scenarios: We provided insights into editing reports in MYOB Acumatica, showing how users can customise reports to include additional fields, such as supplier references on purchase orders. These demos emphasised the flexibility and power of MYOB Acumatica, empowering users to tailor the system to their specific needs.

Highlights from Previous Releases and Beginner Tips & Tricks

In our ongoing commitment to enhancing user experience, previous product releases have introduced several noteworthy features.

These include:

  • Info Tips (00:39:54), which provide users with contextual guidance
  • Terms on Debit Adjustments and Credit Memos (00:41:05), streamlining financial processes.
  • Bolstered security measures for project management, ensuring data integrity and protection (00:42:46).
  • Everyday User Tips and Tricks have empowered users to maximise the efficiency and functionality of MYOB Acumatica (00:44:19).
